Managing the Menopause with Nutrition

My philosophy of diet and nutrition is quite simple. I want to help you nourish your body to help you feel as strong as possible, mentally and physically.

Yes, food can help manage hormones!

Good nutrition can give your body the resources it needs to function as efficiently and effectively as possible.

From dealing with stress and uncomfortable symptoms to strong medications and invasive therapies, to you guessed it, the menopause!

So, why use nutritional therapy?

Working with a nutritional therapist can help to alleviate the stress, pressure and confusion of knowing what to eat. You’ll be in safe hands and your diet can be tailored to you and your body’s needs. What works for one person, may not work for another.

Nutritional therapists recognise that each person is an individual with unique requirements and they take time to define a personalised nutrition plan, to support your condition, symptoms or challenges, rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach.

What is nutritional therapy?

Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health and peak performance. It can identify imbalances and how these contribute to symptoms. This approach allows the nutritional therapist to work with people on many levels by addressing nutritional imbalances and supporting the body towards maintaining health.

And Functional Medicine?

In Functional Medicine, we look at, and address, the root causes not just the symptoms. It works hand-in-hand with how I practice nutrition. I work with my clients, looking at more than just what they are eating and supporting more than a change in lifestyle.

As a qualified Functional Medicine Practitioner, I spend time listening to medical histories and looking at the interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health and complex, chronic disease.

In this way, Functional Medicine supports the unique expression of health and vitality for each individual.
